On Monday we met with Pat Brereton who gave us good feedback about our piece on the academic side and also other film references. We also found a piece online for our actor to audition with.
We held two auditions on Tuesday for our two favourite actors. Our main concern was their availability for April 6th & 7th to travel to Manchester for our bluescreen filming. We asked our actors to read a scene from 'American Psycho' because they had to bring a wide rage of emotions to the scene. It is really important for our actor to be able to show his expressions and emotions with his eyes and face because our piece has no dialogue. We all voted on our favourite actor and went with him.
We went out to Bray Head to plan our shots and film some possible shots there. We met with Will Tuke to discuss our project and ask him about the dolly and tracks. Sean emailed Tom Lawrence about location sound to get some advice on the best way to record our actor. While there will be no dialogue, we may still want the sounds of his footsteps and breathing etc.
